For those keeping track

So, this past Thursday was the last day of my old job, at a Huge Insurance Provider headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. It was a happy occassion totally of my choosing; there was Japanese stirfry and silly, blown up and everyone-signed pictures by way of goodbye, and good luck.

My new job is with a cool connection-marketing agency in Madison. This place has a very dot.com, very early Apple sort of feel to it. We do a lot of work in a very short amount of time, and with much agility. Everyone is a rockstar. We win awards in the field. I do pretty much the same thing I did before, work wise... only a lot more of it, on a tighter timetable.

The new job is also putting me in Hawaii in two months. To live. Some of you know this already. So yes, in two months I will no longer be in either Madison or Chicago.

Until then, I'll be mostly in Madison... getting familiar with the team memebers and how we'll all work together. Then I'll get rid of my car, make official plans for a place to stay, and then I'm off.

Among other substantial perks, the agency is paying for 4 trips a year back to Chicago, above and beyond business trips, for my own personal use. So I'll be back to the Chicago/Madison area several times a year.

These will be times we should all go out. : )

More in a bit.
