tarot - let's create

Part of how I learn about something is using the principles I discover and make something with them. As I am learning about tarot, it seems helpful and logical to build a tarot deck as I am learning, to demonstrate what I've learned, if only to myself.

Tarot decks can come in many stripes and flavors. Some are amazing in their depth and the way they parallel more "accepted" tools of this variety.

Some are just dumb.

It seems the best decks are based on some theme that is rife with symbolism, iconography and meaning. Apparently there is no tarot of Chicago, so that's where I'm going to point some energy. I'd also consider doing the Man's Tarot, because as I do research ( reading, interviews, podcasts, etc ) I find the entirety of the tarot "world" overrun with the sacred feminine.

Not that the sf is bad... but there are many topics left to be explored, beyond the Goddess Tarot, the Feminine tarot, The Cats with Clothes on Tarot, the Housewives tarot, and the Dripping with Feminine Energy Tarot.

So, Chicago, and Man's. To be detailed soon.
