tarot cards

So, recently I've started to become much re-interested in tarot cards. Let's be kind of safe and say that a large part of my interest is scientific; I am very interested in the anthropology here... the symbology and iconography f the different decks. Basically, a tarot deck is ( usually ) a collection of 78 sets of images chock-full of symbols and metaphors, each depicting a different human experience.

What's not to love, eh?

Anyway, lots of different ways to "read" a tarot card spread... but overall the idea is to draw a few cards an get a composite meaning from all the collected symbols and metaphors. It's lots more than that, but this is the essence.

So, using them to brainstorm, to peek inside corners of the mind not oft visited, or maybe to read the past, present or ( who knows? ) future.

I know enough to know that I don't know very much. I am interested in teh cards, and have had some -very- interesting experiences so far. I am enough of scientist to follow my curiosity.

So, let's go.
